SCHOOLGIRL IN U.K. SENT HOME FOR DRESSING LIKE "1990s SLUT"

Courtney Wright affronting public morals in her Britpop-inspired attire

Finally some good news from Britain!

A 12-year-old girl who chose to "celebrate British culture" by dressing like a disgusting 1990s pop-slut has been sent home from her school by her outraged teachers.

The school, Bilton School in Rugby, had organised a "Cultural Diversity Day," with children encouraged to wear traditional clothes celebrating their cultural backgrounds. However, one student, Courtney Wright (possibly named after former "rock groupie" and "drug addict" Courtney Love) chose to interpret this by dressing in a provocative, shoulder-less, sequined dress, better suited to sleazy night club entertainers or strippers.

The dress, which was disrespectfully emblazoned with the sacred flag of the United Kingdom, also bore a remarkable resemblance to the garment popularised in the 1990s by "Spice Girl" Geri Halliwell, then known as "Ginger Spice."

Halliwell was notorious at the time for her decadent, sexually-charged lifestyle as part of the drug-fuelled Britpop phenomenon that also involved bands like Oasis and Blur.

The student's affront to public morals was luckily nipped in the bud by eagle-eyed staff at the school, who immediately called in the 12-year-old girl's parents to come and take her home.

It is not yet clear if this event will mark a halt in Britain's long-term moral decline, which started around the end of the Victorian period and was greatly accelerated by the post-War welfare state and the beat combos of the early 1960s.
