Politics everywhere seems to be getting morphed into the disgusting, unsightly shape of US politics.
The latest example comes from Brazil, where Luiz Inácio Lula da Silv, basically the country's version of Joe Biden, has followed up his success in defeating Jair Bolsonaro in 2022 by also defeating his son in a close-fought election.
Jair Bolsonaro, who was elected President in 2018, copied Trump's populist, corrupt, pro-Zionist style, and was routinely called the "Brazilian Trump." Meanwhile, his son Flavio who lost in the recent run-off election to the 80-year old, doddering Brazilian version of Joe Biden, is like a better-looking version of Donald Trump Jnr.
Flavio Bolsonaro was essentially running on a ticket of releasing his father from jail and reinstituting the corruption that typified his father's regime.
Like Trump on January 6th, 2021, Jair Bolsonaro attempted to illegally overturn the result of the his lost election in 2022, and was subsequently jailed for 27 years -- a significant difference from what happened in America. Although, there is still plenty of time and opportunity for Trump to be jailed in the future and for his son to run an unsuccessful Presidential campaign to release him.
But, seriously, all this political pseudo-morphology has got to stop!
