Rickard Andersson, interested in maths
Looks like the shooter in the recent Örebro massacre was a classic incel type, shy and nerdy.
The motive is still officially “unclear” but there have been rumours that the victims were migrants. If true it looks like he was either radicalised by the internet or else had some personal grudge against the migrants who frequented the adult education campus where the bloodbath happened. Another narrative is that he was angry about having his welfare payments cut off.
Here is what Swedish media have said:
"Rickard Andersson, 35, is suspected of the mass murder in Örebro"Rickard Andersson, 35, is described as a recluse and was unknown to the police. Now he is suspected of the worst mass shooting in Sweden's history, according to SVT's information. The perpetrator opened fire inside Campus Risbergska in Örebro and shot dead ten people. Then the alleged shooter took his own life, according to the police. The suspected mass murderer was named Rickard Andersson and was 35 years old. He lived alone in a one-room apartment in Örebro that the police raided on Tuesday in search of evidence and possible explanations for the attack. But the motive remains unclear."We are continuing with intensive investigative work to understand the circumstances surrounding the perpetrator and are trying to create a picture of whether more people are involved. We will return to the motives behind the shooting later," the police write.According to information to SVT, he is said to have had a license for several weapons. The police do not want to say anything about the information.NO INCOMERickard Andersson was previously unpunished and was not on the police's radar. He had zero kronor in taxed income in recent years and seems to have lived an existence in silence. People around him describe him as socially isolated."He was a bit odd," a relative of the man told SVT.The digital traces of the suspected mass murderer are few. SVT has not been able to link any social media accounts to the man at this time.Documents from the Swedish Duty and Examination Board show that he was not called up for enlistment because he lacked upper secondary school qualifications.ENROLLED ON A COURSE AT RISBERGSKADocuments from Örebro municipality, which Aftonbladet has accessed, show that Rickard Andersson has been enrolled in the municipal adult education at Risbergska school. It involves several courses in mathematics that he has been registered for, the most recent in 2021 that he cancelled.
I believe and I hope this is more a classic case of a shool shooter. We absolutely don't ned another Anders Behring Brevik. The backlash from his terror threw the public debate about immigration, many years back.
ReplyDeleteLooks like we have a severe case of undiagnosed autism or liw level mental retardation.
Problem is in a welfare state, it is nor societys weakest that is worst of and gets too litle attention but it is societys next weakes that fall between the chairs. He probably couldn't function in a noisy crowded setting like in a school like this and failed the obligatory algebra you need to pass before you can take a trade exame or truck driver course so he probably felt he was abandoned by his society and or the school.
So in light if his level of functioning, why did he get to have weapon licences? Seems like a wery bad idea?
Well, it seems that SFI - Svenska För Invandrare (Swedish For Immigrants) was the main target of the attack.
DeleteThe poet Aya Kabar observes that Risbergska was the place where language was in its embryonic development:
"There were people who had immigrated from all corners of the world and it was so nice to witness the community among them. How the language brought them together. The Swedish that was in its embryonic development. The desire to belong to a society that is so often described as cold and repulsive.
That Risbergska is now a place filled with death is heartbreaking. What symbolized the meeting of cultures, the desire to learn and the search for knowledge is now something completely different. Risbergska is an important part of Örebro that will never disappear. Örebro's first higher general education institution for girls – which became a secondary school, which became a municipal adult. A place for everyone to get an education.
So starting any discussion about immigration now is just going full Lennart Svensson.
