Dutch unwilling to vote for Tiny Kox
The shock news out of Holland is that a party led by a guy called "Tiny Kox" did extremely poorly in the Dutch Senatorial race.
Tiny Kox is not some made up name like many people in the English-speaking world suspect, but is actually a real person and a serious politician who happens to lead the Dutch Socialist Party in the Senate. Also, his full name is Martinus Josephus Maria Kox, with "Tiny" being just a nickname for Martinus. His actual penis size is also unknown, although not rumoured to be very large.
At the last Senatorial election in 2019, Kox's Socialists slumped from 9 to 4 seats with a flaccid 6% of the vote. This time however they are projected to wilt even more, losing another member. This will give them only three Senators, corresponding to the same number as "one meat and two veg," which may seem appropriate for a party led by someone whose name sounds like a miniscule gentleman's part.
Meanwhile the night's biggest winners were the Boer Burger Beweging (BBB), a new party formed to represent the farming and agriculture sector and to oppose the government's policy of phasing out insecticides. BBB is expected to pick up 15 seats in the multiparty chamber.
