Winging it?
Wouldn't you know it, the female air force pilot who recently pranged a £40 million RAF helicopter into a field in Devon, killing all on board, may not have had her mind entirely on her job.
In fact, there is every possibility that she was just trying to get another flying qualification to use as "image capital" to fuel her social media accounts and boost her "real career" of being a wannabe fashion maven.
Yes, it seems that sadly departed Lieutenant Lily-Mae Fisher, 31, from Surrey, who died with 2 other RAF staff, was working hard as a "fashion designer and businesswoman," while also picking up a generous RAF lieutenant's salary of between £42,948 and £47,350.
For all this money, she couldn't have been worked very hard, leaving her plenty of spare time and energy to come up with her Valkyrie fashion concept and brand, which she incorporated as a private company on 24 October 2023.
Named after the legendary "Nazi" goddesses who flew over the battlefield picking up the souls of departed Viking warriors and transporting them to Valhalla (warrior heaven), the fashion label created sporty fashion for "strong, empowered women" who could rise to "any challenge."
Two of the key points of the "Valkyrie mindset" were "Resilience" and "a growth mindset" as explained on the brand's own website:
"So what is resilience? Resilience is the ability to adapt to, recover from, and thrive in the face of adversity, stress or significant challenges. Resilience can be improved, it is a learnt skill. It is often associated with attributes such as optimism, flexibility, and the ability to stay focused under pressure."
Unfortunately one strong, empowered women "staying focused under pressure" could not rise to the challenge of controlling a £40-million-pound Merlin helicopter, bought from Britain's cash-strapped military budget.
Perhaps that optimism got in the way!
In what may now seem a sad irony, her soul was hopefully transported from the crash site to Valhalla by one of the real Valkyries.

This case reveals two things, namely the woke agenda that the UK military attempts to impose on grim reality, along with the perks it has to offer to attract recruits by allowing them to increasingly follow dual careers where they can leverage the "glory" of serving in the military through social media in order to power more "fulfilling" side projects.
Helicopter training was just another way to get attention.
