China Don and friends, he love China long time
If you wanted more evidence of how "morally ambidextrous" Donald Trump is, how about the fact that he is now suddenly all in favour of Chinese-owned media "controlling" young American minds.
Last week, the House of Representatives finally brought forward a bill to force a TikTok sale, on the grounds that it’s a "foreign adversary controlled application." This was apparently something that Dems and Republicans could all agree on. It passed the committee stage by a massive 50-0. GOP Senator Katie Britt even talked about the need to stop TikTok "destroying" young American minds in her reply to Biden's SOTU speech.
Then, all of sudden, on Thursday night, Trump "truthed" this on his beta Twitter clone Truth Social:
"If you get rid of TikTok, Facebook and Zuckerschmuck will double their business. I don’t want Facebook, who cheated in the last Election, doing better. They are a true Enemy of the People!"
His slavish followers instantly fell in line, flushing their reputations once more down the toilet to defend Chinese control of US social media.
Why the sudden cuckish U-Turn for Trump who has always presented himself as a hawk on China? Speculation has been rife, but seems to come down to Trump meeting Jewish billionaire Jeff Yass.
"What caused Trump to change his mind? Some reasonable people are putting two and two together, and noting that Trump recently met with the billionaire investor Jeff Yass, who is both an investor in TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, and a big Republican backer, in part via the Club for Growth lobbying group.Yass and the Club for Growth have fought with Trump in the past, but that's all over now, Trump said last week. He announced that Yass was "fantastic" and Trump and the Club for Growth were 'back in love — we're deeply in love.'"
Right now, with the black hole in his finances but with his popularity still holding up, Trump looks like a very good investment opportunity to seedy business and foreign interests.
Must Jeff Yass' Jewishness need mentioning in a piece not related to anything going on with the Middle East?
ReplyDeleteAs for the banning of TikTok, I thought the bill had other stipulations allowing the government access to your device.
Plus, how do you ban TikTok, or anything, for that matter, if people can just use a VPN?
It's mentioned to remind people how confused and inconsistent the DR's views are on the guy. A lot of Nazis, Jew obsessives, "Christian Nationalists," and Groypers still think Trump is "their guy." It's laughable the degree to which he is not.
DeleteThe plan is not to ban TikTok, or even to stop people using it, but instead to force it to be sold to non-Chinese-government interests so that the CCP can't control the "trending" algorithm.

ReplyDeleteTrump is just my guy for basic bitch GOP policies. At this point, I predict he'll win, and Dems will launch their ultimate blitz attack in 2028 with Michelle Obama. In the meantime, we'll get low taxes, oil drilling, and a reasonably good economy for a few years, and it will be like a buffer where we can save up, stock up , and just prepare for when the Dems usurp all power.
As for the TikTok debate, I'm gonna completely stay out of it. I never had it and don't ever plan on getting it and thus feel no need to learn about or take a side on this topic.
