Harriet Hageman: interesting "American frontier phenotype"
The Great State of Wyoming (where?) has "done got itself" another great candidate to be its Congressional representative, with the election of Herman-Munster-lookalike Harriet Hageman in the Republican primaries.
Hageman, a 59-year-old woman of clearly limited intelligence, defeated sitting Congresswoman Liz Cheney (56) to be the shoo-in Republican candidate for the Congressional run-off in November. Wyoming, as a "shit-kicking" rural state, is of course dominated by the GOP come election time.
While Cheney was the demonic spawn of "Neo-Con Satanist" Dick Cheney, Hageman is an anti-environmentalist rancher's daughter who won (66% to 29%) solely because she gained the backing of Donald Trump.
Hageman represents the degree to which the Republican Party has now been taken over by Trump and his QAnon-fuelled supporters. In 2016 Hageman was a hard-line anti-Trumper, who supported Ted Cruz as a sensible middle-of-the-road candidate (!). She even called Trump "racist and xenophobic," and joined in attempts to unseat him at the Convention.

She backed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz for the Republican presidential nomination, joining with other Cruz supporters at the GOP convention in Cleveland -- when she was a Wyoming delegate -- to force a vote on the floor to block Trump's ascension. Cheney supported Trump's 2016 campaign.
Hageman has not publicly addressed those efforts, but has briefly mentioned her past opposition to Trump, telling the New York Times in 2021 that she "heard and believed the lies the Democrats and Liz Cheney's friends in the media were telling at the time."

I’m glad to see warmonger Liz Cheney get booted but her replacement is pretty depressing news.
