IMO, both side made ridiculous propaganda.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the west : Russia bombed their own : prisonners camps/seapipeline/nuclear plant /bridge/Kremkin/troops/dam/civilian zones, and I have probably forget many others... Ukraine is a glorious and very old nation, and its language iq not some peasant distorted grumble.
Accordibg to Russia : Zelinsky is a gay/woke/nazi. NATO was rhe one which open the war. Kosovo is Serbia, because, of course. Latvians and Geoegians should obey because holy Russia. 14 000 dead Russians in Dombass is "a genocide" (no less)

DeleteI didn't say anywhere that it's ALL down to Putin. However, if Putin did die, there is a fairly good chance that the Russians might take the opportunity that provided to step away from this dumb war, even if he was succeeded by a so-called hard liner.
Thats an even worse take than the strawman you accuse me of setting up. Russia is russia because its russia. If you give them an out because this one guy, who when hes dead gets blamed for everything, becomes their scape goat and they create their own "stab in the back"-esque legend. Its the soviet joke about "write two letters". Look at the weird flags the russian side is using. Tzarist flag alongside soviet flag alongside orthodox stuff flag alongside russian federation flag, cause its all the same: its russia. This "dumb war" is almost a gift from the gods to finish that creature off for good.
