1. Fascism seeks to divide people into an ‘us’ and a dangerous, degenerate, less intelligent ‘them’
2. Fascism favors rule by emergency decree, promoting fear to build community support against a common enemy.
3. Fascism mocks calls for individual freedom, painting those who make such calls as a threat to the common good.
4. Fascism restricts the right to work and function in society to those who agree with its agenda.
5. Fascism censors contrary narratives, labelling difference of opinion and awkward facts as misinformation, and those who state these as enemies or terrorists.
6. Fascism removes rights over one’s body and family, placing a ‘Greater Good’ ahead of individual choice and parental authority.
7. Fascism suppresses religious and other belief systems that run contrary to its own dogma.
8. Fascism unites corporations and government under a common agenda for mutual benefit.
9. Fascism prioritizes the group (ethnicity, opinion, dogma) over life within borders, thus replacing a requirement for diversity with uniformity.
10. Fascism arises from the left of politics, its leaders moving to embrace corporate power and wealth to achieve their aims.
If all 10 are in place, it would be beyond time to start noticing. Fascism is also popular, socially acceptable and claims to be progressive. A much easier and safer path to follow. But the path into the abyss is always comfortably downhill.
