The increasing weakness of Russia, due to its losses in Ukraine, is nowhere more apparent than in the collapse of its geopolitical position in the Caucasus. Here, Russia's ally, Armenia, has suffered the loss of its Nagorno-Karabakh enclave to Azerbaijan, while Russian forces, supposed to guarantee the existence of the enclave, could only look on impotently. Now Armenia has awoken from its folly of aligning with Russia, and is seeking friends and allies in the West.
