HALEY IN POLL POSITION IN NEW HAMPSHIRE

With anti-Trump candidate Chris Christie dropping out of the Presidential Primaries, a quick check on the latest polling data reveals that Trump's chances of winning in New Hampshire are starting to fade, with former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley mounting a real challenge.

The latest poll (published 9th January) had Trump on 39%, with Haley on 32%, followed by Chris Christie on 12%. Assuming that most of Christie's support now goes to Haley, that could put her in the lead. The other candidates still in the race are the George-Soros-backed Vivek Ramaswamy at 8%, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis at 5%, and former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson at less than 1%.

Haley also has the momentum, with her support on the rise. Another key factor in New Hampshire is that non-Republicans could choose to vote in the Primary in significant numbers, almost certainly against Trump. The vote will be held on January 23rd.

A win for Haley in New Hampshire would pose a major threat to Trump's campaign, as many Republicans who still like Trump want an alternative candidate with fewer legal problems and more of a chance of beating Joe Biden in November. A win for Haley in New Hampshire would greatly boost her campaign in South Carolina, where she was formerly governor. The vote there is on the 3rd February.

Addendum:
Haley got 43% of the vote in New Hampshire (Trump 54%) and 39.5% in South Carolina (Trump 59%)
