CLOUD OF IMPENDING DOOM HANGS OVER TUCKER AFTER BIOGRAPHY BOMBS

Trigger fatigue, the true abyss

A large black cloud of doom is hovering over Twitter livestreamer Tucker Carlson after a biography of the former Fox News host failed to sell at all well.

The much hyped biography by hack writer Chadwick Moore, rang up extremely disappointing sales of only 3,227 copies in its first week of release, placing it at number 15 on the hardcover nonfiction list, according to Publisher’s Weekly. The book also failed to to make the New York Times bestseller list.

This poor showing suggests that Tucker's star is in freefall, despite claims that his livestreams on Twitter are getting "millions of views" and Elon Musk's stubborn belief that Twitter will somehow replace cable news as the main platform for news and opinion.

The fact is that news and attempts to trigger and polarise people on the back of it for clicks and views, which was Carlson's speciality, has become increasingly tedious, repetitive, and boring.

Also, politics itself, thanks to the squandered optimism of Trump's rise and subsequent impotence, has become a grey soul-sucking shadow cloud that anyone with a life expectancy of more than 5 years instinctively avoids in favour of real life.

  1. The Bestseller lists are fake projects staffed by the bored wifes of editors. They have no real clout. Selling over 3000 hardcopies in a week is not that bad in the digital age. That is way better than i would have expected of the biography of a guy like tucker who used to tell stories about zombie raccoons.

    1. Good comments, but get a name (even a sock one) next time.
We're phasing out unsigned "anonymous" comments.
