A subscription platform used mainly to funnel funds to Alt-Righters whom Russia approved of. It was founded in 2017 as an obvious substitute funding channel to make up for PayPal and Patreon heavily demonetising Alt-Right accounts in the wake of Donald Trump's election.
The platform was set up by "Russian-American" Mikhail Zadvornyy with an address in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. This Russian bias became evident when Kremlin-critical Alt-Righters, like Colin Liddell, Greg Johnson, etc., were simply not allowed on the platform, or were soon kicked off (e.g. Richard Spencer).
Zadvornyy has all the classic hallmarks of a Russian asset. Before becoming the facilitator of a massive fund flow to the Alt-Right, he operated as a Leftist disruptor, known as "Red Worker" and running online brands or tags like Red Storm Lab, Red Storm Laboratory, Starcling, and SubscribeStar itself, which, as you may now note, has a clear clue in its title to its affiliation.
In fact, Subscribestar is one of the best pieces of evidence that the Alt-Right from 2014 onwards was largely hijacked to serve the disinfo and disruption agenda of the Kremlin's FSB.
